Levy on Fuel Prices
Over recent months many organizations have gone down the path of
introducing a fuel levy, in particular when it is one of the
major costs associated with their business. Some examples are:
- Taxis
- Bus companies
- Aeroplanes
- Most transportation groups
This has been due to the
ever increasing price of fuel. Some organisations have
increased their nominal overall price, however, with fuel
fluctuating so significantly from month to month, other
organizations have had to adopt a 'Fuel Levy', which is
subject to change with larger fluctuations.
Unfortunately, Undersea Explorer has had to go down this
path along with all other marine operations in the district.
The two main organizations, AMPTO and Dive Queensland, have
been providing information in relation to this subject and
will be providing guidelines as to various levies with the
fluctuating prices.
Undersea Explorer, in conjunction with information provided
by governing bodies, has evaluated a $15.00 levy per day per person will be
necessary on all expeditions at this stage in order to meet
the rising fuel demands (this is subject to change if and
when the fuel barrel price changes). In summary we will be
charging $90 per person per 6 day expedition and and $120
for far northern (8 full days of diving)
All information in relation to the fuel levy will be updated
on our website, and if you have any concerns please do not
hesitate to contact us.
